Ring in the new year with a Sparkling Paloma and French Kiss cocktails. Cheers!New Year's Eve Cocktails: the Sparkling Paloma and French Kiss - perfect for getting the party started!

I am not one to make resolutions. Or, rather, I am not one to keep them… so, over time, I decided to leave New Year’s resolutions to those with better discipline than myself. I devote New Year’s Eve to my favourite pastime instead – sharing wonderful food and cocktails with family and friends. It is the perfect occasion to reflect on the past year, celebrate the good times and toast the brand new year while everything is full of exciting possibilities.

Ring in the new year with a sparkly Paloma and a French Kiss cocktails

Every year I come up with a signature festive drink – a few years ago it was the gin-based Red Queen which is still a firm favourite. There’s also the Good Fortune,  a twist on classic favourite Negroni, the Champagne Margarita, an amazing Spiced Winter Mojito and so many others. This year I have given the Paloma a sparkly twist with bubbly pink moscato wine instead of soda. The same sparkling wine livens up the French Kiss – a pink, less lethal, version of the French 75.

Whatever you are doing – and drinking! – this New Year’s eve, I wish you all a very happy and healthy 2017! 🍾
