Air Fryer Salmon Bites are quick, easy and super delicious! A quick Asian marinade and four minutes in your Air Fryer will transform salmon cubes into an irresistible sticky salty-sweet bite. Add some rice, vegetables or noodles for a speedy, healthy meal that's packed with flavor.
1tsp cornflour (cornstarch)diluted in a little cold water
To serve
5spring onions, green part only, finely diced
1tbsptoasted sesame seeds or Furikake seasoning
Instructions
Combine all the marinade ingredients – sesame oil, sesame oil, rice vinegar, soy and hoisin sauce, honey, brown sugar, minced garlic – in a bowl. Transfer roughly half of the marinade into a saucepan.
Slice the salmon fillets into evenly sized cubes. Add the salmon to the marinade bowl and gently mix together.
Preheat the air fryer for 2 minutes at 400°F / 200°C. Place a silicone liner into the air fryer basket (makes clean up a lot easier) and spread the salmon cubes over it in a single layer. You will need to cook in batches, depending on the size of your equipment.
Cook for 4-5 minutes or until the salmon is slightly caramelised at the edges but still juicy and tender within.
Add cornstarch slurry to the saucepan with the marinade and stir over medium heat for a few minutes until slightly thickened.
Serve the salmon bites with the sticky sauce, sprinkled with Furikake seasoning or toasted sesame seeds and finely diced spring onions.

Notes
For crisp yet tender salmon bites preheat your air fryer first.
Use a silicone liner to prevent the salmon from sticking and to make clean-up a breeze.
Since the marinade is packed with umami goodness we are not adding any extra salt. See recipe notes if you want to skip the marinade.
Salmon cooks quickly in the air fryer and even more quickly when diced into cubes. Air fry for 4-5 minutes adding an extra minute or so until it is cooked to your liking.
Take the salmon out of the air fryer as soon as it beeps to avoid it overcooking and becoming dry.
If using frozen salmon, allow it thaw overnight in the refrigerator before making this recipe. Take a look at this article if you need to skin the salmon fillets before using.
