If you are using a rack of ribs, you will need to remove the thin membrane that covers the bony side of the ribs. Slide the tip a knife blade under the membrane to loosen and pull it off – it should come off quite easily. Cut the rack in two or three pieces so that it fits into the air fryer.
Combine the spices, herbs and seasoning. Mist the ribs with a little oil using a spray bottle and cover the ribs with the dry rub on both sides.
Preheat the air fryer to 200°C (400°F) for 3 minutes. Place the ribs in the air fryer basket in a single layer. Air fry for 20 minutes, flipping them over halfway through.
Brush the ribs liberally with the barbecue sauce and air fry for another 5-10 minutes or until they are sizzling. Rest for 3-5 minutes then slice and serve with extra BBQ sauce on the side.
