These crispy-tender Air Fryer Green Beans with lemon, garlic and parmesan are a bright, family-friendly side for any dinner. Ready in minutes, super tasty and easy to customize.
Wash the green beans and trim the stems. Pat them dry so they roast, not steam — help encourage the crispiness!
1 lb (450g) fresh green beans
Combine the olive oil, lemon juice, zest and minced garlic, salt and pepper in a bowl, add the trimmed green beans and mix well so the beans are completely covered.
1-2 tbsp extra-virgin olive oil, 1 tbsp lemon juice, 2 tsp lemon zest, 2 cloves garlic, ½ tsp sea salt, ½ tsp freshly ground black pepper
Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C). Add the green beans in a single layer to the air fryer (if load the basket with a lot of beans they will cook a bit softer – which you may prefer).
Cook for 10-12 minutes, shaking the basket a couple of times, until the beans are crisp yet tender and a little bit charred. The cooking time may vary depending on your air fryer – cook in batches if needed.
Taste and add seasoning if needed. Transfer the green beans to a serving dish and sprinkle with grated parmesan. Serve immediately.
2 tbsp freshly grated parmesan, salt and pepper

Notes
Storing and reheatingLet the green beans cool before storing them in an airtight container. Leftovers will keep in the fridge for 3-4 days.Air fry at 350°F (175°C) for 2–3 minutes to re-crisp. Adjust your cooking time depending on your crispy/tender preference. You can also re-heat them in your microwave, but they will definitely lose their crunch.
