I delayed this #CookBlogShare round up because my son was ill and pretty much glued to my lap for three days. But I wasn’t quite prepared for what happened next. On Friday I started feeling very odd indeed and by Saturday I was in bed, feverish, achy and unable to move. I don’t think I have been hit by the flu in such a bad way for quite some time. It really has been quite the week and I still don’t feel out of the woods yet. So I must apologise if I have dropped the ball on commenting and sharing your wonderful links – I am hoping to catch up soon.
Now that December has arrived it suddenly feels like everything has been put into fast forward – doesn’t help that my daughter counts down the days to Christmas every chance she gets, I have all these posts that need to be published, like, yesterday and the kitchen saga is still ongoing. I have resigned myself to the fact that we won’t have a finished kitchen in time for Christmas… but being crammed into the living room is starting to wear very thin indeed.
1. Chocolate and ricotta decadent cake – this is a very inventive bake from Alida of My Little Italian Kitchen.
2. Angela of Patisserie Makes Perfect is ruining diets everywhere with her Chocolate Orange Ganache Brownies.
3. Now is the perfect time to make some homemade mincemeat and this Clementine & Cointreau Mincemeat fromVicki The Free From Fairy sounds incredible.
4. Sarah of Tales From The Kitchen Shed has a festive Sweet and Spicy Christmas Tree Bread as well as a savoury version on her blog.

All of those featured recipes look yummy – there's just too much to cook at Christmas!! I think my favourite is the Christmas Tree, I love it when food is made to look like something else.
I've just set up a monthly linkup on my site. The theme this month is Christmas and New Year. I'd love it if you'd come over and take a look. It's at http://www.myrecipebook.co.uk/new/fbc-whats-on-december-2014/ if you're interested.
Hope you're feeling better x

Oooo what a lovely selects of features this week. I would be happy to devour any and all of them. I really hope you get well soon Lucy though it sounds like you are going to have a hard time of it. If I could make you a hot drink and send you a plate of biscuits or cakes to go alongside I would just so you wouldn't have to make the effort yourself.
