It’s been a crazy few weeks for me lately. The new kitchen which has been in progress since early September (!!) is finally looking less like a building site and more like an actual kitchen. It’s so exciting and at the same time I can hardly believe it will EVER be finished. I am so used to having builders and drilling in the background I don’t even notice the noise anymore… although I can’t abide the layers of dust that cover the entire house.
While the kitchen is morphing into a calm white space, the temporary kitchen (i.e. the living room) looks like the most out of control photo studio/student bedsit ever. I have a lot of blog projects on the go and the tripod, reflectors and props have practically taken permanent residence in the middle of the room. I think the chaotic state of the room reflects the chaotic state of mind I find myself in recently. I have taken to writing endless to-do lists, most of which I abandon without ticking anything off. The one thing I managed to accomplish today is book tickets for Food Blogger Connect in September – if any of you are interested in attending there’s Early Bird offers available right now. I would love to meet up with you there!
This week there are some real stand out entries on #CookBlogShare
1. Roast chicken, lemon, potatoes, olives, shallots, garlic & thyme by Flavour for Baby looks wonderful– sadly it doesn’t come with a trip to Seville but it really, really should!
2. I love the look of these gluten-free apple and cinnamon seed crackers so much Misplaced Brit! On my to bake list for sure.
3. If you really want to test yourself try making cronuts – seeing how wonderful these Raspberry and Rose Cronuts from Patisserie Makes Perfect look makes me want to make them again…
4. What can I possibly say about this Esterhazy Torte from Domestic Gothess? It looks like absolute perfection and the photography lives up to the gorgeousness of the bake. Bravo!
