About a year ago, during a ‘book ideas’ meeting, I suggested the publishing company I worked for (at the time) produce a baking book entirely devoted to butter. Just imagine all the wonderful things you can include: brioche, croissants, biscuits, cakes and cupcakes of all descriptions, tarts, rich frostings… Unfortunately, my idea was shot down (you fools!).
Try and imagine baking without butter. The two frequently go hand in hand and the quality of the butter you use is reflected in taste of your bakes. I was naturally rather excited to discover that my favourite brand of butter is introducing a new range of products aimed at adventurous home cooks. I was even more excited to be invited to test one of these products – their Cook’s Range Baking.
